We make mistakes sometimes. When we do, we fix them quickly and tell readers what changed.
How to report an error
Email thedailynewspoint0@gmail.com. Please include the article link, what is wrong, and a source for the correct information if you have one.
What happens next
- An editor reviews your report, usually within three business days.
- If the error is confirmed, we update the article.
- We tell readers what changed.
Types of correction
- Minor errors such as typos, spelling or formatting are fixed without a note.
- Factual errors are fixed and marked with a correction note at the top or bottom of the article that explains what changed and when.
- Serious errors that undermine a story may lead us to retract it. We keep a visible note explaining why.
Updates are not corrections
When new facts emerge in a developing story, we update the article and note the update. This is not a correction.
Removing content
We do not delete published stories to avoid embarrassment. We may remove or edit content for legal reasons, safety, or to protect the privacy of vulnerable people.
