We make mistakes sometimes. When we do, we fix them quickly and tell readers what changed.

How to report an error

Email thedailynewspoint0@gmail.com. Please include the article link, what is wrong, and a source for the correct information if you have one.

What happens next

  1. An editor reviews your report, usually within three business days.
  2. If the error is confirmed, we update the article.
  3. We tell readers what changed.

Types of correction

  • Minor errors such as typos, spelling or formatting are fixed without a note.
  • Factual errors are fixed and marked with a correction note at the top or bottom of the article that explains what changed and when.
  • Serious errors that undermine a story may lead us to retract it. We keep a visible note explaining why.

Updates are not corrections

When new facts emerge in a developing story, we update the article and note the update. This is not a correction.

Removing content

We do not delete published stories to avoid embarrassment. We may remove or edit content for legal reasons, safety, or to protect the privacy of vulnerable people.
