We are always looking for clear, well-sourced writing. If you have a story to tell or expertise to share, pitch us.

What we publish

  • News analysis and explainers on politics, business, technology, sports and entertainment.
  • Original reporting with named sources.
  • Opinion pieces that make a clear argument, labeled as opinion.

Guidelines

  • Articles should be original and not published elsewhere.
  • Aim for 600 to 1,200 words unless we agree otherwise.
  • Link to your sources. Claims, figures and quotes must be verifiable.
  • Write in plain, direct language. Avoid promotion and jargon.
  • Do not use text copied from other sites. Use only images you own or have permission to use.

What we do not accept

  • Paid posts disguised as editorial content. For paid placements, see Advertise With Us.
  • Content that is plagiarized, defamatory or written mainly to place links.
  • Unverified rumors or claims without sources.

How to pitch

Email thedailynewspoint0@gmail.com with the subject line "Pitch: your headline". Include a short summary, why it matters now, your sources, and links to two or three samples of your writing. We reply if we are interested.

All accepted articles are edited and fact-checked before publication. We may change headlines and edit for clarity and length.
